Inviting your band & roles
Last updated 13 June 2026
Getting the right people into ArtistHQ takes two steps that are easy to mix up: inviting someone to the workspace, and marking who counts as a band member. They live in different places and do different things.
Inviting people
Head to Settings → Team to invite people to your workspace as editors or viewers. How many seats you have depends on your plan — see Plans, billing & cancellation.
What roles can do
Roles control who can see and change what:
- Owner and admin — can manage everything.
- Manager and member — can edit most things.
- Accountant — sees finances.
- Crew — gets a focused, mostly read-only view.
Pick the role that matches what each person actually needs to touch.
Team members vs. band members
This is the part worth slowing down on. Inviting someone to the workspace does not automatically make them a band member.
Being on the team is about access — who can log in and what they can do. Being a band member is separate, and you set it in Settings → Band. That's where you mark who counts as part of the band, and that list is what drives how settlements get split.
So if you add a new player, give them workspace access in Settings → Team if they need to log in, and add them in Settings → Band so they're included when you split the money.
